The Future of Burly Bakers July 9, 2015 07:06
Friends & Fans,
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with end-stage heart failure on May 20 after showing up at the emergency room, struggling to breathe. After further tests and additional hospital stays, it looks like I will need a heart transplant in the coming year.
Because of this, I've decided to close the bakery for now and focus on my health. I'm not giving up on the business, but it's very labor-intensive and the day-to-day operations are more than I can handle right now.
Baking is where my heart is and I've gotten a lot of joy from being part of your holiday celebrations, birthdays, and other milestones the past two years. It is with great sadness that we close the oven doors, but God willing we can reopen in 2016.
Thank you so much for your ongoing encouragement and support.
Updates will be posted here.
